 PRICING & PAYMENT

  • Prices are in Canadian Dollars

  • Listed prices do not include taxes. A 5% Federal Goods and Services Tax (GST) and a 2% Destination Marketing Fee (DMF) will be added to the program total. There is no provincial sales tax in Alberta.

  • Pricing is subject to change at the time of booking

  • Payments can be done, in order of preference, via:

*Tipping and gratuity are customary in Canada when the service provided is at or above expectations.
The amount is up to your discretion. It is customary to give between 10-20% of the service fee, 15% being the standard.


BOOKING CONDITIONS

Please read and fully understand the following information before making your booking.

  • There are several hazards in all mountain activities. Participants must acknowledge and accept those risks by reading and signing a waiver of liability prior to sending payment for our programs. Participants will also have to sign a paper copy of the waiver in-person before the start of our programs. Minors must have a parent sign a consent & acknowledgement of risks form.

  • It is your responsibility to purchase a national park pass when travelling through any of the Rocky Mountain National Parks (Jasper, Banff, Yoho, Kootenay, Glacier, Revelstoke). These can be purchased when driving into our national parks or at visitors information centres. Daily rates are 10$\adult, 8.40$\senior, 20$\family, If you plan to stay more than 7 days in all our national parks combined, you are better off purchasing an annual pass at 69.19$\adult, 59.17$\senior, 139.40$\family.

  • Wilderness backcountry passes will be purchased by High Sights Guiding for our backcountry programs.

  • Itinerary may change due to uncontrollable variables such as weather, trail closures, wildlife closures, etc. We attempt trips even when the weather forecast is not great but prepare accordingly. Guests will be informed of any change of plans as early as possible.

BOOKING PROCESS \ REFUNDS \ CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Confirm your booking through phone, email, or through our website/booking platform

  • High Sights Guiding will send you a notice of reception with payment details within 48h (we will get back to you promptly unless we are in the backcountry and out of service for an extended amount of time).

  • Full payment is due at the time of booking.

  • We recommend guests pay with their credit card if they have trip cancellation insurance through their credit card provider. Alternatively, we recommend guests purchase trip cancellation insurance. Verify your coverage with your credit card provider or visit a reputable insurance company that covers outdoor activities such as TuGo Insurance.

  • Trips cancelled by High Sights Guiding will receive 100% refund.

  • Day Trips cancelled within 7 days of departure will receive a full refund minus 10% administration fee. Day Trips cancelled less than 7 days will receive no refund.

  • Lodge-based and hut-based backcountry programs require significant upfront non-refundable expenses on our part. 50% of the amount on these trips is non-refundable. Cancellations made more than 30 days before trip departure will get the remaining 50% as a refund. No refunds will be processed for programs canceled less than 31 days before departure.

Transportation

  • Transportation to and from the event is the responsibility of the guests
